The Art Studios
The Heim Foundation is an ideal place for the artistic
production. The foundation offers four studios, mainly for painting and
sculpting. These studios are offered to artists who can come for a limited
period of time (6 month at the most) and stay at the foundation as artists
in residence.
The conditions :
The studios are offered to artists who want to work for a certain period
of time on a specific project. Candidates must prove their professional
involvement according to their age and personal development. Hand in a
small documentation. Further they have to submit a description of the
project they want to realize during their stay.
Artists can benefit from free accommodation in a dormitory or rent one
of the foundations guestrooms at a special rate. While the artists are
residing at the foundation they are asked to participate in the daily
chores such as housecleaning gardening or working on global projects.
It is required to work about one hour per day. Artists who fail in this
point are asked to leave on short notice.The studios have to be given
back clean and empty. The Foundation does not stock artworks.Artists are
responsible for their own insurances and are sure to have a health insurance
and an accident insurance.
The foundation declines any responsibility for accidents, which might
happen while working at the foundation. The foundation does not give out
grants, does not participate in travel costs nor in food and other personal
expenses.
Aspirin candidates are asked to hand in:
A letter stating your motivation for coming to the foundation and a general
description of your project mentioning the length of your stay as well.
2 pages at the most.
A short CV 1 page
A sample of your work (max 7 photos or audio or video recording)
A written confirmation that the conditions to apply have been read and
clearly understood.
The dossiers are not given back.
